Hunting Report

Well you can tell by the date on the calendar that duck season is fastly approaching. The statewide duckblind drawings will be held this coming weekend at various locations around the state. This is a great opportunity for the area hunters to obtain a duckblind for the upcoming season. Remember if you get drawn for a blind to be sure and cut any brush prior to the first frost. This will assure you the best coverage by its plumage.

Deer season is also right around the corner as well. Now is a good time to start doing some pre-season scouting for the upcoming archery season. Salt/mineral licks should really be being used right now due to the hot and dry conditions. Soybean fields, honey-suckle thickets, and even patches of poison oak/ivy are areas to look for deer browsing activity. If you place a trail camera on any of these areas, be sure and still use scent-control by wiping down the camera so that the deer will not pick out your camera and veer away from it.

Keep checking back as we will be posting new hunting reports as the seasons approach. Also, check out our Youtube channel. We will be posting both video and pics from some of our trail cams. Be sure to also "LIKE" us on Facebook. We will be post quick shots from the field and other news on here.
